Since 2006, The Henley Passport Index (HPI) has ranked passports according to the number of destinations that can be reached using a particular country’s ordinary passport without needing a prior visa. The survey ranks 199 passports against 227 destinations in the world.
Japanese passport is the strongest passport in the world since 2019. Because Japanese passport holders could visit 193 out of 227 destinations visa-free. That’s why Japanese passports were ranked 1st place in the passport ranking index from 2019 to 2022. But currently, Japanese passport holders can access 189 out of 227 destinations visa-free. That’s why the Henley Passport Index (HPI) released a newly analyzed ranking in 2023.
The Japanese passport is currently ranked in 3rd place in the passport index and the Singapore passport is currently ranked 1st place in the passport index. Because of Singapore ordinary passport holders can access 193 out of 227 destinations visa-free.
